In the same way that the generation of power-up items in the arcade version are not random, neither are standard items pick-ups. Their creation is influenced by what the player did on the previous level. Not all influencing factors apply to all pickups. These influences are included on the table below.
Skel-Monsta - Its possible this pickup will appear if skel-monsta appeared on the previous level.
Hurry Up - Its possible this pickup will appear if the hurry up message but not skel-monsta appeared on the previous level.
Umbrella - Its possible this pickup will appear if an umbrella pick-up appeared on the previous level.
1P Time - The length of game time that the player took to clear the previous level in a one player game.
2P Time - The length of game time that the player took to clear the previous level in a two player game.

An interesting thing to note from the above table is the difference in the number of pickups that the players may collect from 1 and 2 player due to the difference in the time columns. In 1 player only pick-ups 1-50 are available - the highest scoring 10 pick-ups are not available, whereas in 2 player all 60 pick-ups are available.
